• Assist in the development and execution of global strategic initiatives such as divestitures, integrations and business mandates
• Lead and execute process improvement, automation, and quality projects in key business processes including any supporting technology
• Design and improve business processes and drive positive change management throughout the global organization
• Support the global financial close, OP Plan, and multi-year planning processes
• Identify and document key business requirements and meet/exceed customer expectations
• Lead diverse project teams, serve as a change agent, mitigate barriers to change, and work collaboratively within and across globally disbursed departments and functions
• Facilitate individuals and teams through complex change and issue resolution
• Solicit support for initiatives and provide presentations and project updates within all levels of the organization
• Define, measure and validate results to successfully implement all facets of process improvements or changes identified
• Deliver business process training and user acceptance testing as required
• Identify, champion, and drive controllership initiatives and opportunities
• Represent assigned business/functional area as designated project representative for Finance Advisory Committee
• Ensure alignment of business and functional opportunities to the global strategic initiatives for Finance
• Create and foster a culture of continuous improvement, eliminate non-value added activities, and deliver business impact/results
• Ensure compliance with multiple regulatory and reporting requirements
• Some travel, including international, may be required dependent upon the initiatives and business priorities
• Achieve process consistency across global platforms
• Operationalize and transition process improvements to proper process owners.
• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years experience in Finance, preferably accounting
• Proven ability utilizing project management discipline and tools in the successful execution of process redesign, process improvement, and/or system implementation initiatives
• Proven ability to design and implement solutions while successfully managing change with process owners
• Proven ability to identify opportunities and resolve cross business/functional area issues efficiently and effectively
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills
• Proven experience in leading & motivating project teams to achieve goals
• Ability to influence without explicit authority, gain consensus, foster support, and work collaboratively within a team
• Solid networking and relationship building skills
• Ability to identify best practices and benchmark performance within and outside the organization
• Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities
• PC Skills including MS Office tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, & Visio
• GAAP/STAT accounting and reporting experience or knowledge
• Financial Services experience, preferably insurance
• PMP Certification
• Certified Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt
• Chart of Accounts knowledge
• Experience with Oracle Financials, Cognos TM1, Oracle Discoverer, & Oracle ADI
