The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for supporting the preparation of the monthly and annual internal financial statements, committee packets, annual external audit, monthly forecasting and annual budget. Specifically this position is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to ensure that the monthly financial close process is completed in a timely and efficient manner. Other responsibilities include reviewing the monthly financial performance, supporting the annual budget planning process, performing analyses, supporting the annual audit, supporting the preparation of the annual 990s and completing projects as assigned.
Bachelors degree in Accounting, or related finance field.
Four years of accounting experience that included advanced spreadsheet skills, Government and/or financial reporting to include AP, AR and GL operational and querying capabilities. Active/Inactive Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure may be substituted for two years of experience.
Knowledge of GAAP and related researching techniques and how rules should be applied to operations. Knowledge of Oracle & Hyperion Reporting preferred
Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
