About International Operations
Ally’s International Operations serve dealers and retail customers in 17 countries across Europe and Latin America. The combined operations in Europe and Latin America represented approximately $16.2 billion in assets at the end of the third quarter 2012.
In November 2012, Ally reached an agreement to sell the International Operations to GM Financial, a wholly-owned subsidiary of General Motors Co.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in stages during 2013. The operations will continue uninterrupted, and it remains business as usual and continues to focus on the customers and clients.

Working under the direction of the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (“FP&A”), the senior analyst will play a leadership role in developing the annual business plan and monthly forecasts, as well as in analyzing and reporting the consolidated financial performance of the business.
The senior analyst will gain substantial international exposure by working closely with the in-country FP&A partners to understand changes in local markets and the related impact on the forecast and actual results.
Participation in and leadership of special projects will comprise a significant portion of the senior analyst’s activities.
This role is also instrumental in the month-end and quarter-end close processes.
As part of a highly effective and cross continent organization, the senior analyst is expected to demonstrate financial acumen, sharp communication and influencing skills, and process engineering capabilities.
The senior analyst will gain broad-based knowledge of Auto Finance products in a matrix environment and will become an expert in the behavior of asset and liability balances, Economic Capital, Net Financing Revenue, MS Excel modeling, understanding foreign exchange rate impacts, and full income statement and balance sheet reporting.
Business Planning and Forecasting: develop country-level financial models; analyze, prepare and present business results; coordinate and consolidate financial planning and variance analysis
Drive standardization of processes, tools and templates to deliver timely and accurate information
Coordinate with in-country FP&A partners, line of business executives, Business Process Excellence Teams and key functional groups such as Risk, Treasury, Pricing and Accounting
Improve data transparency and speed decision making
Deploy Funds Transfer Pricing
Support monthly and quarterly closing process
Complete special projects and ad hoc requests
Strong analytical and problem solving skills and proficiency MS Office, SAP and Hyperion
High level of oral and written communication skills
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
Energetic, motivated and takes initiative
Capacity to anticipate and develop new processes with minimal direction
Funds Transfer Pricing experience preferred
Previous FP&A experience preferred
BS or BA in Finance or Accounting is required; MBA/CPA preferred
