Ethicon Endo- Surgery, Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst, located in Cincinnati, OH.
Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc. - develops and markets advanced medical devices for minimally invasive and open surgical procedures. The company focuses on procedure- enabling devices for the interventional diagnosis and treatment of conditions in general and bariatric surgery, as well as gastro- intestinal health, gynecology and surgical oncology.
The Finance division in EES utilizes a rotational program whereby senior analysts have the opportunity to rotate to different positions every 18-24 months. The rotations include Licensing & Acquisition, Brand Management, Research & Development, Financial Reporting, Operations, and other areas within Finance.
Senior Financial Analyst responsibilities include: serve as principal financial advisor to a business unit, providing both financial & strategic expertise to business partners. Enhance the understanding of critical business unit performance drivers and maintain a good view of business unit strengths and weaknesses. Take responsibility for budgeting and forecasting, both strategically and operationally, for expense, headcount & capital.
Drive assessment, preparation, and presentation of financial analysis and management reporting to business unit. Synthesize data to identify trends/drivers and distill into a clear, concise analysis. Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and J&J Corporate guidelines .Lead initiatives and/or participate in teams to develop the Finance organization .Play a leading role in evaluating and implementing changes to improve processes within the organization .Provide information through ad-hoc analysis that allows the business partners to drive superior decision-making.
A minimum of a bachelors degree is required preferably a major in Accounting or Finance. A MBA is preferred. A CPA, CMA, or other financial certifications are preferred. A minimum of three years of finance or related business experience is required. Experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or consumer products industries as well as public accounting is preferred. Candidate must possess excellent analytical (MS Excel), General Ledger, conceptual, communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with Hyperion Essbase and SAP is a plus. The ability to think creatively and work in a team environment is required. Individual must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The ability to effectively take on leadership roles in various functions is required.
