Position Description:

AIG is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for its LA Region within Finance Property & Casualty. Generate weekly production forecasts, working with product group managers to explain the variances and then assemble a weekly package to review with the regional president, which will then be incorporated into the 11 region production package

Review and provide commentary on a monthly package of reports for the regional president covering production results, variances, broker ranking results, key performance indicators, commission results and direct expense results

Review and provide commentary and analysis of the statutory regional P&L results

Work with the Chicago FP&A home office group to produce a budget for the regional executive service offices during the budgeting cycle in accordance with deadlines established by the corporate FP&A group

Identify the key business drivers in broker production variance and develop a written narrative if necessary to be distributed to senior regional staff

Provide support as necessary for ad-hoc requests and projects from the regional presidents, product group managers, industry practice group managers and market segment teams

Accommodate requests to make adjustments to reports as well as recommend improvement to reporting and analytical methods to the regional president

Travel as necessary and requested to the branches in the LA region to provide on-site training and support

Position Requirements
Bachelors Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or business-related fields, or equivalent work experience

4-6years experience in a financial reporting role

Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required. Knowledge of Access and SAP a plus

Ability to prioritize projects and meet tight deadlines and work in a remote working environment

Strong attention to detail and deadlines and an ability to interact with all levels of management

Knowledge of insurance a plus
