The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the quantitative analysis of complex financial data needed in fiscal planning, budget planning and control, and project-cost evaluations. Additionally, the Sr. Financial Analyst will prepare detailed reports and evaluations of financial information and will provide management with recommendations for action and/or modifications regarding financial procedures, plans, and controls. This position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
•Prepare and review project profitability analysis, project pricing analysis, overhead rate analysis, budgets/forecasting, financial analysis, financial surveys, Time Billable Hours reports, and assist with audits.
•Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.
•Prepare quarterly and monthly P&L forecasts, reports and analysis and research variances.
•Minimum of 10 years of financial analysis experience in the professional services industry (architect/electrical/civil experience preferred).
•Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting; prefer a Master's degree or MBA with advanced skills in Microsoft Office; particularly in creating and/or modifying excel spreadsheets and pivot tables.
•Working knowledge of financial reporting systems and tools required (Deltek systems a plus) with the ability to extract and analyze data.
•Understanding of and experience in accounting for Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) desired
•Knowledge of, and ability to interpret and apply, finance and accounting policies, practices, and systems.
