The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for compiling, understanding, and reconciling BCS/SAP data and will assist in the preparation, analysis, and reconciliation of monthly, quarterly, and annual internal/external reporting; providing project support for various financial and operational initiatives as directed by Management; and coordinating with Corporate finance in order to resolve key reporting, technical and accounting issues

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Prepare consolidated schedules/reports for the monthly close including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and account reconciliations
  • Prepare and review journal entries and provide corresponding source documentation
  • Consolidate quarterly SOX controls submissions from channels and prepare them for supervisor review.
  • Provide management support to ensure month-end close is completed timely and accurately
  • Complete special projects for financial and operating management
  • Prepare vendor payment requests and coordinate payments with Accounts Payable
  • Continuously improve, re-evaluate accounting and reporting activities to streamline and improve controls and processes
  • Maintain files supporting the month-end consolidation
  • Provide internal/external reporting support to Corporate, Tax, Operations and external auditors
Qualifications

Experience:
  • Four year accounting/finance degree required
  • Four + years public and/or private accounting/finance experience required
  • Entertainment experience preferred
  • Strong MS Excel and mainframe computer system skills
  • SAP knowledge preferred
Skills:
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong accounting / GAAP knowledge
  • Strong follow-through on all projects; ability to bring projects to timely completion
  • Ability to perform tasks with reasonable independence
  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Detail-oriented; strong organizational, analytical and PC skills
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
