• Responsible for all facets of the Client Accounting Process
o Billing of agency fees and out of pocket expenses
o Commercial collections
o Budget/project management
o Some accounts payable/vendor management functions
o Time reporting
o Project reconciliations
o Client pre-payment reconciliations
o Other ad hoc reporting
• Manage a portfolio of assigned accounts and maintaining key relationships with account teams in an effort to best serve the client’s financial services needs
• Accurately post financial data into the General Ledger (via sub ledger activities) and providing sufficient backup and an auditable trail for those entries.
• Manage small team of Finance Analysts
• Supervise client related SOW’s, Purchase Orders, billable invoices, and billable production items
• Maintain Work In Progress
• Track revenue
• Competent knowledge of the finances of assigned client/brands, including the client contract.
• Use various pricing mechanisms for professional services to price projects
• Apply understanding of revenue sources and pricing mechanisms to revenue recognition process
• Ensure positive cash flow for assigned clients based on understanding of cash flow components and levers that can be used to impact positively or negatively
• Provide Finance Director with updates
• Liaise with practice leads on budget development, forecasting of revenue, optimizing profitability, capacity & recommend potential courses of action
• Assist in annual planning process
• Other duties as requested in support of the client finance team, practice leads & Finance Director
• Establish trust and credibility with clients and team members by quickly responding to their needs, always follow up/through, and delivering quality work
• Adjust priorities to respond to pressing and changing demands
• Appropriately involve others in a process or decision to ensure their support
• Maintain working knowledge of functional area policies and procedures and general knowledge of company policy and procedures
• Professional communication manner and ability to triage messages when appropriate
• Exhibit a positive “can do” attitude with all team members and is willing to pitch in whenever needed
• Focus on details to produce high quality work by checking and double checking items
• Develop positive and production working relations with Clients, supervisors and peers
• Meet deadlines by managing time and priorities
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required
• 8+ years general accounting experience with a concentration in receivable operations
• Experience working in Creative Services/Consulting firm is preferred
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products; specifically Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience with enterprise level financial systems
