Summary of Responsibilities :
This position supports the informational needs of Annuity Product Management and other business groups by managing a wide range of functions relating to system development, data analysis, and reporting on variable/fixed/hybrid retirement products. The incumbent must deliver top-notch customer service through use of interpersonal, technical, and analytical skills. Other critical functions include the development of other analysts’ technical skills, enhancement of efficiency of workflow and processes, and maintenance of strict quality control. Key point-person in the development and enhancements of the Annuity Product Management Information Systems covering the various franchises across the MetLife enterprise.

Enhance/improve overall efficiency of processes and organization of workflow
Key driver of customer service initiatives:
Multi-tasking the delivery of periodic and ad-hoc reporting requests
Working with a team of analysts to improve efficiency of responsibilities and workload
Developing/enhancing technical skills/abilities of other analysts
Provide input, direction and technical assistance in the development and maintenance of our Annuity Product Management Information Systems (e.g., Annuity DataMart)
Diagnose and solve problems with software, hardware and systems architecture. Provide direction to others on the use of database software and on the contents and relationships of data in the MIS database
Perform wide range of functions related to the ongoing measurement of the financial experience of various annuity business segments
Function as department technology expert resource to solve complex current problems and preempt future problems by directing technology strategy.
Work with IT to design data files to be fed to MIS system from upstream systems
Query MIS tables to produce experience studies and reports; work with the Annuity MIS to prepare analytical reports for people throughout the company
Act as a key resource for Product Management to advise what management information is available and how best to extract it
Strong relational database systems design and programming expertise including ACCESS and/or SQL.
A strong knowledge of annuities. Knowledge of specific annuity products across MetLife enterprise desired. Being able to understand the “big picture.”
Strong Excel skills, familiar with VBA macros, data filters, pivot tables
