The Senior Forensic Consultant will have solid experience in conducting data collections and computer forensic analysis, as well as certain critical aspects of computer forensics such as affidavit and report writing, working with customers, sales personnel, project managers and other personnel, testifying, etc.

This position requires advanced capabilities in the providing of computer forensics services. Senior Computer Forensic Consultants should exhibit the capability to manage and conduct collections and analysis related to everything from basic to advanced aspects of forensic data, file, and email collection and analysis. They also should display the ability to provide proactive documentation of learned experiences to promote learning, and should possess significant knowledge or experience in preparing affidavits, giving depositions and/or court testimony. They should understand the different potential ways to collect data that is to be used in e-discovery matters and/or for forensic analysis, and should be able to explain the differences, options and most desirable data collection methods given a certain factual scenario. Experience with both e-discovery matters and computer forensic data collection and analysis is essential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide confident, clear, effective communication exhibiting extensive experience obtained in Computer Forensics with all customers through all forms of communication including direct contact, conference calls, voice, e-mail, fax, etc.

Conduct or assist with common or advanced data collections and forensic analysis.

Provide proactive documentation for the analysis, rebuilding, recovery and presentation of relevant electronically stored information.

Be able to fully explain the recovery of data from storage media using computer forensic analysis methods to access and analyze data, determine relevancy, and/or provide an output to meet customer objectives.

Work with management to determine best practices used to conduct Computer Forensics work.

Work with, mentor, and help lead team members down a path of established best practices.

Help test certain tools to maximize the effectiveness of services provided to customers.

Set collection strategies, participate in collections, conduct forensic analysis, testify, perform field work and contribute to business development efforts.

Provide an expected professional level of customer service and technical support as needed or required.

Compile reports and metrics on the practice’s performance as necessary.

Additional responsibilities may include documentation and training of learned knowledge to consultants and/or sales teams, or temporary departmental work as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Seven (7) or more years professional forensics and collections experience.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or closely related field is required.

Industry certifications (e.g., ACE, CCE, CFE, DFCP, EnCE) are strongly preferred.

Strong communication, negotiation and problem solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal abilities, including tact, maturity and flexibility.

Ability to work independently and successfully meet deadlines.

Domestic and international travel is required (approximately 25 - 50%).

Extensive hands-on experience with laptops, desktops and forensic analysis of systems.

Good understanding of Network Architectures.

Substantial experience with 3rd party forensic tools/software.

Significant experience with e-mail based systems, both online and corporate.

Civil or Criminal investigations background, or substantial forensic analysis or eDiscovery work as a substitute.

Excellent Report/Affidavit drafting skills.

Some testifying experience.
