To provide technical support to LRCVB end-users for computers and associated hardware and software.

Essential Job Functions:

Installs, configures tests, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots end-user workstations and related hardware and software in order to deliver required desktop service levels. Serves as support personnel for IT Helpdesk support functions to include installation and maintenance of personal computers, telecommunications services, communications network, terminals, printers, desktop applications, desktop hardware, server applications and server hardware for all LRCVB facilities. Serves as support personnel for clients and vendors for telecommunication, internet, network and computer related services as assigned by work orders from Event Operations. Performs on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including offsite repair for remote users as needed. Administers and resolves issues with associated end-user workstation networking software products as required. Collaborates with the Senior Director of Information Technology to ensure efficient operation of the company’s desktop computing environment. Documents desktop equipment or component failure, repair, installation, and removal. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves problems credit card machines, printers, and time clocks; installs new telecommunication systems including internet, telephones, radios or other communication systems within LRCVB facilities. Documents processes and procedures for testing, maintaining, monitoring and troubleshooting of workstations, telecommunications, internet and related hardware/software. Operates a computer, utilizing spreadsheet and word processing software. Operates an LRCVB pool automobile in the performance of essential job functions. Interacts in a positive and responsive manner with clients, attendees of events, seminar speakers, and the general public.

Minimum Qualifications and Additional Requirements:

These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of two (2) years of college coursework in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related area, or graduation from a vocational-technical school with an Associate’s Degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Maintenance or a certificate in Electronic Technology, or a related area and two (2) years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of computers or in the installation and maintenance of computer operating systems and software applications. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.


Must show proof of valid automobile insurance before being approved to drive any LRCVB vehicle.
