Advertised Summary Job Description

Under general supervision, provide technical support for software, hardware and network problems to all computer users by performing question/problem diagnosis and guiding users through step-by-step solutions. Clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner. Provide one-on-one end-user training as needed; troubleshoot any and all peripheral device problems. Delivers, tags, sets up and assists in the configuration of end-user PC desktop, software and peripherals, as well as perform related work as required. Conducts hardware and software assessments and keeps track of an inventory database for all electronic devices. Pass more complex end-user problems on to the Director. Coordinate timely repairs of PC equipment and schedule system upgrades. Understands the need for data security in a healthcare environment and can perform data encryption on all electronic devices according to industries best practices. Responsible for managing and securing the devices at the various remote locations associated with the departments. Document and maintain records of all remote site information and report that information back to the IT division. Will need to travel the various remote locations by use of their own car.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus three years of related experience.

The preferred candidate will have hands-on experience with general computing and desktop administration. The candidate will possess an understanding of the following: Windows XP/7, MAC OS X, MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Access), Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and wireless configuration), and PBX administration. Must be familiar with securing devices through various forms of encryption software (Bitlocker, TrueCrypt & Symantec's GuardianEdge). Manage domain accounts in an Active Directory environment. Must have knowledge in Disk Imaging and remote software deployment. Must be detail oriented and possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Car and valid driver's license also required.
