This role will be the human resources leader for mutiple headquarters departments based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The incumbent will actively provide support to associates, and partner routinely with management and leadership to provide strategic and tactical human capital guidance to ensure departmental goals and objectives are accomplished. In addition, responsiblities will include serving in a consultant capacity in areas such as employee relations, performance analysis, career development, talent management, succession planning, affirmative action, benefits administration, salary administration and compensation.
Day to day responsibilities will include:
-Involvement in various employment related activities including job design, development, interviewing and selection participation, workforce planning, and staffing trends
-Overall strategic guidance to business groups supported
-Routine communication with department heads and business leadership about business performance, as well as proactively identifying potential problems and coaching on performance improvement plans as needed
-Associate complaint resolution
-Coaching management to handle non-routine ER situations (interpreting policy, judgment, special LOA requests, etc.)
-HR Program Execution
-Involvement in Leadership and Associate Development plans where necessary
-New Manager Assimilation and Associate On boarding
-Facilitation of CTM/CTE
-May manage Human Resources Consultants and Generalists.
-Risk Assessment and Prevention
-ESC Hearing “coordinator”
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years employee relations or human resources generalist/consultant experience required, with at least 4 years experience consulting with senior managers on HR issues.
General knowledge of computers including, but not limited to MS Office (Word, Excel).
Thorough understanding of all HR laws and labor laws and regulatory environment affecting associate working relationship with a proven track record of successful resolution of appeals and grievances.
Strong, persuasive verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to assess priorities and address critical issues.
Ability to identify creative solutions and implement with minimal direction.
Ability to facilitate presentations, meetings, and training programs.
Ability to effectively mentor other HR professionals and to motivate and lead associates to achieve desired results.
Ability to work with sensitive, often confidential information.
