Primary Job Responsibilities
The Senior Integration Engineer is responsible for providing post-sales business process analysis, product function expertise and engineering support for merchants who are implementing PayPal payment processing services. Focusing on merchants, partners and developers with annual revenues from $1 million up to $100 million or more, the senior integration engineer directly supports the assigned Business Development representatives in San Jose, Omaha and other locations as required, both in the office and in the field, throughout the integration process. The Senior Integration Engineer acts as the “voice of customer” when providing feedback to Product Managers, Technology, and other internal groups on ease of use and new function or feature needs. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide merchants, partners and developers considering the use of PayPal payment processing solutions with business process analysis, product functionality review, and technical requirement definition services as requested in support of the overall sales strategy.
Provide merchants, partners and developers who have committed to implement PayPal payment processing solutions with guidance on changing business processes, website workflow modifications, and reporting systems required to implement PayPal solutions into legacy systems
Facilitate clients with setting up sandbox accounts, provide technical development and coding support, and provide guidance to the client during testing and pre-launch activities.
Act as main point of contact for the client for all implementation-related activities throughout the implementation effort and track all client engagement activity using provided tools.
Bring clients engaged in PayPal product implementations Live-To-Site within targeted time frames
Ensure clients implement PayPal’s payment processing solutions with a high degree of quality and using optimal integration strategies and techniques.
Collect client feedback on ease-of-use and function/feature suitability for the business’ processing needs. Provide feedback to Product Management, Product Development, and other groups on product improvement and enhancement needs.
Develop and implement a formal mentoring program for newer Integration Engineers based on the Integration Engineers’ specific needs and skills.
Provide mentoring support to newer Integration Engineers as required to ensure their successful accomplishment of training goals and Integration Engineer duties.
Take the lead role in team and department projects as assigned by the team manager
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science.
4+ years experience with Internet Technologies including Web Services, SOAP, NVP, HTML/HTTP, and FTP/SFTP
4+ years experience with two or more major programming languages (C++, ASP, Java, .NET, PHP, COM).
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal in English
Desired Skills :
2+ years experience with Payments (Credit Card, Banking, Online, Offline), especially with eCommerce systems, payments gateways and payment processors is highly valued
2+ years previous experience in Integration Engineering or Professional Services, preferably with large to enterprise-level companies engaged in eCommerce.
Knowledge of Salesforce, Visio and Photoshop.
