Senior Inventory Analyst ( MPAR)

The Sr. Inventory Analyst is responsible for leading the Inventory Analyst business activities and provides subject matter expertise during the project. The role requires key leadership capabilities and strong business acumen. This individual will ensure that all primary responsibilities of the user community can be completed efficiently and effectively using the MPAR ( Merchandise, Planning, Allocation and Replenishment) software applications. Accountabilities: Assist the Manager in initial project planning and scoping activities, including approval of initial business requirements and design documentation, and creation of project presentation materials; Participate in initial system setup and administration activities in order to understand data configuration options for later application for business use; Development of business process documentation, validation of business metrics, or conducting analytical activities required to prove out testing of new processes or control groups during initial pilot phase and roll-out planning; Develop, implement and verify system business rules and approval workflows, planning and forecasting models and system parameters necessary for execution of the system; Serve as senior subject matter expert on the topics of content, methodologies and processes, data, formulas and calculations, and procedures for inventory and merchandise, as well as act as the current business-side systems expert; Work with the IT team to create detailed requirements, and participates in the execution of test scripts for user acceptance testing; Assist in resolving functional problems or issues that may arise during pilot and implementation; Provide cross-training to other staff members and actively engages other staff members in the project as part of change management; Perform other duties as assigned.

Desired qualifications include a 4-year college degree in business or related field; a minimum of 2 years experience in inventory management at Sterling and/or a minimum of 5 years inventory management experience at a large retail company; extensive analytical skills; strong written and verbal communication skills; detail orientation; ability to set priorities; PC experience, especially in Windows, MS Word and Excel and Business Intelligence Tools ( or some information query tool).
