This position will be responsible for the development of systems and services for Superpages Search Engine. In this role you will need expertise in coding, analyzing and troubleshooting complex software systems and a strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive in a fast paced software development environment. Ideal candidate is expected to be able to come up with solutions to challenging problems independently.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
* BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
* Extensive experience programming in Java 2+ years, including working knowledge of core libraries and design patterns
* Working knowledge of Spring Framework
* Experience with Lucene and Solr
* Expertise in object oriented design, data structures and algorithms
* Excellent analytical thinking and problem solving skills
* Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
* Excellent communication skills

Desired Skills and Experience:
* Experience in database design and SQL, NoSQL
* Basic knowledge of shell scripting and ant
* Experience with source control systems such as CVS, SVN
* Experience with Apache Tomcat
* Solid working knowledge of UNIX, preferably Linux
