Work with a Scrum team of developers, analysts, and product owners to build Java-based applications for a multi-tier Restaurant POS system.
Working within an Agile development methodology
Collaborating with peers to meet complex multi-tier system requirements
Implementing Java applications in the Cloud and/or on a hosted Linux server and/or on an Android device
Providing subject matter expertise for Java-specific development challenges
Ability to learn and absorb new technologies as needed
Sharing of application testing responsibilities with project team

application development and programming skills
5+ total years of professional software development experience
3-5 years of professional software development experience using Java
Experience working on POS, payments, or retail systems
Experience designing/architecting complex scalable distributed systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
JUnit testing framework
Java Spring Framework
MOM experience (preferably HornetQ)
Experience working on a Scrum team, experience in a team room
POS payment applications or transaction processing
CouchDB or other document database system
Experience with POSLOG and other Association for Retail Technology Standards (ARTS)
