The Unclassified Information Sharing (UIS) Senior Knowledge Manager (KM) is responsible for the UIS organization-wide knowledge sharing to ensure that the organization's know-how, information, and experience is shared both internally and externally with clients, partners, and stakeholders. The UIS KM works with military and non-military clients to refine knowledge management strategies and to improve the usability of information, knowledge and tools. The KM also works with the UIS Software Development Team by providing requirements for product development.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The UIS KM is responsible for ensuring UIS customers have the appropriate support while promoting communities of practice, coordinating taxonomy development, content development and training materials. The Senior UIS KM will be required to conduct consultations, briefs, training and presentations to varied audiences while promoting and providing technical support for collaborative tools. Responsibilities also include the evaluation of new processes and procedures to be integrated and implemented within individual user communities.

Additionally, the Senior KM will focus on developing international relationships within the Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief (HA/DR) environment. The KM will actively engage the key players within the APAN HA/DR arena and work with them to add and transfer data. The Senior KM will also support a broader set of client organizations to include the Center of Excellence (COE). International travel will be required at times to support training, exercises and conferences.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Education :
A Master's degree from accredited college or university.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities :
10 yrs Experience conducting assessments that focus on identifying existing baseline processes and procedures.
2+ year experience with using or implementing social media in a business and/or government environment.
4+ years experience with IT tools including, collaborative systems, Web 2.0 technologies and desktop applications.
4+ years experience assisting teams who work together to develop software, customer requirements, user feedback, product management, and quality assurance testing.
Applicant subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Possess US Passport and be able and willing to travel in the U.S. and internationally to support program goals and objectives.
Must be US Citizen.

Preferred:
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities :
Experience with Disaster Management & Humanitarian Assistance Operation and Administration.
Experience promoting & providing technical support for collaborative tools including but not limited to COIs, wikis, blogs, forums and web conferencing tool.
Salary will be determined based upon current experience and relevance to position.
