JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE
Restructures loans; works with lending personnel and borrowers to better secure collateral and/or assets of the borrower. Works with the largest and highest complexity loans. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. May
lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
At the sole discretion of Capital Farm Credit, position may be offered with a different title, based on the requisite qualifications of the candidate. As such, the essential functions could vary, but will be in general those required to effectively
monitor and work through identified problem loans to a successful conclusion for the Association.
BENCHMARKED JOB FUNCTIONS:
Works with lending staff, legal counsel, fee appraisers, and management to execute action plans for collection/reduction of Special
Assets. Assists Association staff with collection actions and relevant correspondence (i.e. Distressed Loan Restructuring notices, Demand notices, etc.), action plans, and collection activities. Executes appropriate collection and/or liquidation
actions and provides appropriate communication and reporting of actions taken. Ensures that collection/liquidation actions comply with regulations and ordinances regarding debtor’s rights. Works with collection agents, fee appraisers,
service contractors, commission agents/brokers, and other resources as required to accomplish defined objectives. Submits progress reports and other information regarding the status of Acquired Property and selected Special Assets to management.
May develop and approve (within delegated authority) or recommend approval of minimum auction reserves and foreclosure bids for Acquired Property. May negotiate with debtors of selected high-risk loans, and with prospective buyers of Acquired Property
in order to achieve defined objectives. May approve (within delegated authority) or recommend approval of private-treaty offers, sales contracts, and other disposition of Acquired Property.
General knowledge of accounting/financial systems. Specialized knowledge of accounting/finance principles. Specialized knowledge of loan term negotiation, accounting standards, banking regulations, operations and credit practices. Skill in financial analysis
of general commercial/corporate credits. Skill in oral and written communication. Intermediate skill level in the use of various loan analysis software programs. Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to perform intermediate-level
accounting/financial analyses under limited supervision.
Required Experience Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible banking or related agricultural lending experience.
Required Education Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
P HYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to stand for limited periods of time. Ability to walk for moderate distances. Frequent finger/hand manipulation (e.g. keyboard, office equipment, small hand tools, etc.). Occasional lifting, carrying,
pushing, and/or pulling while exerting up to 50 pounds of force. May require a valid driver’s license.
This job requires strong verbal and written communication skills and listening skills, as well as the ability to read, comprehend and write memos, e-mails, operating manuals and policy directives. The job also requires the ability to provide, follow and
convey verbal instruction, and to provide and receive feedback as appropriate in a respectful, business-appropriate manner. The ability to make effective business presentations, both written and oral, in small and large audiences is required. Courteous and
