Presently we are seeking a talented Senior Manager of Education Marketing to be responsible for brand marketing, collateral development, partnership kit development, and manage direct response marketing.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Develop web-based marketing campaigns to acquire new educator registrants:
Identify target audience, tone and message
Negotiate and liaise with vendors (writers, MDR, designers)
Coordinate coding and deployment
Provide reporting and analytics on campaign progress
Develop and execute SEO strategy
Identify and develop strategy for marketing collateral needs:
Oversee graphic design development (web, email, print)
Oversee development of brand awareness via public relations and social media strategy:
Manage creation and execution of plan in conjunction with communications team and Education Marketing Specialist.
Provide input to product/content for the creation of thematic content toolkits and develop plans for distribution of toolkits via Common Sense Media site and social media; in addition, manage process for the design and production of toolkits.
Produce twice-monthly educator newsletter and blog site:
Develop monthly thematic calendar
Identify necessary articles and coordinate with contracted blog authors
Oversee Education Marketing Specialist in design, coding and deployment of newsletters
Work with marketing and communications departments to create and implement strategy for conference marketing and events such as Digital Citizenship Day .
Manage a customer relations management system including Salesforce database, Drupal registered users database, educator welcome stream emails, and other on-boarding strategies.
Supervise Education Marketing Specialist in responding to questions about Common Sense Media's education content and programs.
Design and deploy periodic surveys of educator community to measure satisfaction and identify new product/customer needs.
Oversee Education Marketing Specialist to create monthly registration report and Google Analytics report.
Liaison with product/engineering and project manage efforts to develop/update educator website, including managing timelines setting priorities, doing Q/A for educator section, acting as the liaison between Education content and product, and managing the design process and planning.
WHAT WE NEED TO SEE ON YOUR RESUME (REALLY!)
5 years of relevant experience
Masters Degree preferred
Proven track record of success – you have the chops to get the work done!
Some knowledge of digital media landscape (cable/satellite, online, mobile), including related distribution and business models and experience in the K-12 space
Strategic thinker; management consulting experience is a plus
Data-driven decision maker, able to synthesize information and turn it into successful strategy
Organized, entrepreneurial self-starter; able to identify what needs to get done, then willing and able to make it happen
Great attention to detail and follow-through
Sense of ownership; passionate for results
Comfortable leading relationship and asking/closing
Outstanding presentation skills
Interest in the well-being of children in our 24/7 media world.
