This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Engineering located in Columbus, IN.
Responsible for planning, designing, purchasing, and/or implementation of
integrated manufacturing assembly or fabrication processes in a manufacturing plant.
Determines the manufacturing processes required to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification.
Works with engineering to identify problems with product and performance; recommends solutions or enhancements.
Plans and designs methods to improve efficiency in production; trains line employees on new processes and methods.
Work to improve equipment availability and capability by utilizing continuous improvement tools and working cross functionally.
Define manufacturing standard working methods Supports capital acquisition and capacity planning and change control.
Coaches and mentors less experienced Manufacturing Engineers.
Compensation: Base salary commensurate with experience plus bonus.

College, university, or equivalent degree in Manufacturing Engineering or
related technical or scientific field required. Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
Additional Responsibilities to this Position
- Excellent knowledge of Outer Diameter and Inner Diameter grinding on precision machines like Grinders. Capability to take grinders down to the base and rebuild completely back up. Able to diagnose mechanical issues to come up with a short term and long term solutions.
- Expert knowledge of control systems and electronics on grinders. Able to program and trouble shoot issues.
- Mentor and Coach for less experienced engineers on grinding machines.
- Able to set up grinders for current and new products.
- Outside suppliers contacts and knowledge of precision grinders.
