The Global Senior Manufacturing Strategy Manager is part of a team responsible for ensuring that Baxter's global manufacturing network is positioned to be a source of competitive advantage and is capable of delivering the long term performance needed by the Baxter business units.
The Senior Manufacturing manager will be engaged in business planning and prioritization process for the global manufacturing network, and is expected to serve as an advisor and guide to the business units and regions in issue-driven, in-depth analysis and to lead division/region/function-level assessments.
Leads the development of long-range manufacturing strategies for business unit(s) to optimize the global manufacturing network and meet business goal.
Manages strategic planning activities, including tools, templates, presentations, etc.
Performs scenario planning analysis to assist management in understanding the risk/benefit tradeoffs between various approaches and opportunities.
Develops and manages the prioritization process used within the division/region/function including data collection tools, database development and support and portfolio analysis.
Manages the development and tracking of objectives/milestones including definitions, tools, and reporting.
May lead the review and analysis of project spending, in conjunction with Finance.
Facilitates reviews across division/region/function of environmental, regulatory, tax, trade, labor and other elements related to the strategic projects he/she is leading.
Advises business units/regions/functions in resolving strategic issues through situation and marketplace analysis.
Monitors competing and target companies.
Interacts on a regular basis with key senior business leaders to ensure business needs are addressed.
Bachelor's degree required (engineering, science or technology degree is strongly preferred).
Requires seven or more years of business experience
Must have worked in at least one position within a plant
MBA or Master's in finance, marketing or strategy.
Experience in large scale, global pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing network.
Manufacturing network optimization and modeling.
Cost optimization and manufacturing productivity experience.
Familiarity and comfort with financial business case modeling and sensitivity analysis.
