Practice Description
The Market Intelligence Practice within Quintiles Consulting is a team of individuals with a blend of industry, operational, clinical, and life science expertise focused on biopharmaceutical market research. The practice uniquely benefits from the unparalleled resources of a larger organization, and the agility and fresh-minded thinking of a smaller independent firm. The team provides industry leading business insights backed by data-driven analytics to inform “high-stakes” strategic decisions across all stages of drug development and commercialization.

The Decision Modeling Group (DMG) within Market Intelligence is the analytic engine behind the practice’s quantitative market research. The DMG develops and applies statistical modeling techniques to solve complex market questions and is the foundation of the practice’s evidence-based consultancy.

The practice is seeking motivated and inspired thinkers to share the goal of informing biopharmaceutical business decisions. The Market Intelligence practice is currently seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst to join its Decision Modeling Group based in Cambridge, MA.

Position Responsibilities
            The (Senior) Analyst will participate in all phases of commissioned quantitative market research projects, from design to final presentation. Specifically, the (Senior) Analyst will:
            · Develop statistical programs to clean, manage, and analyze data for supporting biopharma business decisions
            o Prepare data files to support project teams (e.g., SAS, SPSS)
            o Generate statistical analyses and models (e.g, regression, correlational and other multivariate statistical analyses, latent class)
            · Provide consultation on optimal research design, sampling and analysis
            o Collaborate on methodological recommendations and summaries for project proposals and reports
            o Advise on questionnaire design
            · Mentor internal and external clients on the appropriate application of statistical analyses and modeling
            · Collaborate on development of novel market research methods
            · Grow towards a client facing position supporting business development, design and reporting of complex quantitative research
            Strong candidates will exhibit a creative approach to analysis and modeling, and additionally will have:
            ·
            Record of academic excellence
            o Advanced degree required, PhD preferred (in social sciences, statistics or related field)
            · Skilled with statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, SPSS)
            · Relevant work experience or coursework in statistics and experimental design
            o Experience/coursework within the healthcare or biopharmaceutical beneficial
            o Ex perience/coursework applying statistical models to solve real world problems
            o Teaching/teaching assistant experience desirable
            o Prior business and/or market research experience desired but not required
