Are you a strategic creative thinker who can energetically design, implement, and manage various marketing project simultaneously? MetroStar Systems is hiring a Senior Marketing Manager with experience in IT Services marketing. Successful candidate will work closely with our Business Development and Operational team members to design, implement, manage and measure various marketing projects and initiatives. This person must be energetic and creative with the ability to multi-task and support a large group of stakeholders by leading and managing his/her team (brand manager and corporate communications specialist).

Candidate will support Professional Services and Product Groups in defining and creating marketing campaigns for key strategic and targeted market segments and clients. This person will be responsible for creating marketing communications and content in various forms of media to include but limited to: print, digital, webinar marketing campaigns, social and radio.

Responsibilities:
Three key characteristics essential for success: 1) think strategically 2) upkeep operationally, and 3) perform tactically.

Strategic Marketing involves evaluating customer research, market conditions, and competitor data as well as developing and executing marketing plan changes as needed. Overseeing all marketing, advertising, promotional staff and budgetary activities.

Marketing Operations involves managing the operational activities, such as budgets and report generation, email processes, deploying emails and creating reporting on email performance and ongoing management of email lists. Key operational groups that this candidate will collaborate and co-create campaigns are as follow: Marketing and Business Development, Product Teams, Human Resources.

Tactical Marketing involves hands-on support, writing content, attending events, developing relations, and ultimately providing business development team qualified leads.

Align Marketing Strategically with Business Development Team:
Responsible for designing the overall marketing strategy, building integrated marketing campaigns and programs, instituting standard marketing processes and measuring the effectiveness and ROI of BD marketing programs. Working with various internal groups or business units and external partners, the successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing market perception, generating marketing and sales qualified leads and opportunities, and enabling sales.

Work with Business Development Leadership (Services and Products) to ensure alignment of marketing programs with sales priorities

Work closely with Business Development team to understand key opportunities, accounts, and pursuits; Focus and remain hands-on specific activities that enable the sales team to be more effective and successful

Work closely with the Corporate Communications Specialist to ensure visibility of marketing programs and amplify the MetroStar brand and its personality to our employees and customers

Teamwork:
Work with various people and personalities across the MetroStar enterprise and must be able to quickly build strong relationships and alliances with internal business groups, especially with Practice Leads, including but not limited to Products Group (Zoomph, eBriefing, and SPtoGO), Human Resources, and Operations.

Help standardize marketing processes across the Sales Cluster

Identify and institute Best Practices

Create an environment for a high-functioning Sales and Marketing collaboration

Integrated Marketing:
Oversee all aspects of content creation for website/mobile, and social media. Align public relations to effectively amplify MetroStar’s brands personality. Works with the BD Team to enhance MetroStar’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to support list management, deployment and reporting of outgoing campaigns.

Build integrated marketing campaigns for each industry unit, to include activities such as awareness, thought leadership, online and interactive marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), event marketing, public relations, event marketing, search marketing, sales enablement, social media marketing and advertising

Build demographic and behavioral lead-scoring; create nurture and drip marketing tracks

Work closely with other Horizontal (Practice Areas) and Vertical (Business Units) teams to participate in and contribute to integrated marketing campaigns on offerings and solutions that apply across various industries (Public and Private Sector)

Operational Marketing:
Work with Senior Controller to plan, monitor & measure marketing programs and campaigns. Candidate will manage the marketing budgeting process for Business Development, Product Marketing, Public Relations, Events, and SEO/SEM.

Develop and monitor budget and program and campaign effectiveness on an ongoing basis; Measure marketing campaigns via both “Lead” measures (tactical) such as email click rates, campaign response rate, # of meetings at an event etc., as well as “Lag” measures (strategic) such as # of MQLs, # of SQLs, # of meetings generated, $ value of pipeline created etc.

Institute processes to increase adoption of marketing automation tools to automate marketing tasks (list management, campaign creation, campaign measurement etc.)

Ensure compliance of standard processes across the Cluster marketing team and periodically report metrics on Marketing Programs to CEO, President, SVPs

Required Experience:
10+ years’ experience in technology or professional services marketing & communications, with prior experience in a consulting or technology services and outsourcing organization

Experience managing and marketing new products as well as traditional marketing

Excellent communicator – well-spoken with excellent writing skills

5+ years’ of Field Marketing experience, working closely with Sales Teams

Proven success developing and executing integrated business-to-business marketing campaigns, including goal setting, budget management and results measurement

Strong relationship acumen: ability to build strong relationships at all levels in the organization in a multi-cultural environment

Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, business, or a related field; MBA a plus.

Preferred Experience:
Experience and knowledge of web and mobile based products and technologies

Proven ability to understand business issues of multiple industries; experience in Federal Government

Experience with Marketing Automation tools and CRM tools (Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SalesForce.com)

Reporting Relationship:
Reports to CEO and Dotted Line Reports to President, and SVP Business Development
