Wayfair is looking for an analytical and entrepreneurial leader to drive strategy, execution, and analysis for its organic search (SEO) efforts. As a key member of Wayfair’s marketing team, you will oversee and execute strategies to increase ranks on thousands of keywords across our global portfolio of web sites. You will be responsible for the profitable growth of organic search traffic and revenue. You will be expected to define overall goals and strategy and serve as the champion for organic search within the organization. You will develop a deep understanding of industry and competitive best-practices and utilize data, technology, and creativity to stay a step ahead. This is a unique role for a highly motivated and data-driven individual to contribute in a very significant way to an already successful company.
In this role you will:
Identify growth areas in site structure, keyword selection, content development, and on-page optimization
Monitor performance metrics to understand organic search performance across multiple global markets
Optimize internal linking structures to maximize keyword rankings across our portfolio
Develop and implement tests at a rapid pace
Develop specifications for technical improvements and drive implementation with a team of dedicated engineers
Evaluate and manage 3rd party vendors
Partner with Content Development, PR, Social and other marketing functions to achieve shared goals
Manage and develop a team of analysts
4+ years relevant experience, preferably in marketing, management consulting, or ecommerce
The tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment
Track record of creating innovative new marketing programs that generate results
Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
Proven track record of leadership, taking ownership and driving results
Outstanding communicator who excels in working in cross-functional teams
Comfortable in technology-driven business environment
MBA preferred; BA/BS in Economics, Mathematics, or other quantitative study with strong academic record
