Initiates, researches, designs and organizes data and information for use by senior management in meeting certain ECMC Group strategic objectives related to business development, marketing and acquisitions.

  • May direct administrative personnel for the Marketing Department
  • Initiates and performs market research functions as needed by ECMC Group companies, including market sizing and market and financial model building
  • Identifies and monitors competitors and researches market conditions or changes in the industry that may affect sales
  • Manages new projects as the need arises, including various pilot and original projects
  • Researches critical issues on potential new industries and acquisition targets, and develops in-depth strategic analysis around those issues
  • Gathers, reviews and publishes media reports of topics of interest to ECMC Group, subsidiary management, and ECMC Group’s Board of Directors
  • Gathers and analyzes data from a wide range of governmental and non-governmental sources
  • Develops a thorough understanding of the range of ECMC Group companies’ business
  • Performs internal research and develops reporting mechanisms to communicate and highlight research related to business opportunities
  • Proposes and develops subsets of data and targeted reports designed to support and strengthen ECMC Group business opportunities
  • Interprets and predicts market trends using qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques
  • Ensures that all efforts are communicated in an effective and impactful manner in all reporting
  • Ensures market research and analysis materials are prepared with an emphasis on quality of appearance and detail
  • Complies with all ECMC Group Policies
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Required to work normal hours to successfully perform the job responsibilities
  • Required to work occasional nights and weekends to meet urgent deadlines
  • Able to travel to multiple out-of-state sites as required
  • BA/BS degree
  • 4+ years experience working as a Research Analyst or similar field
  • Masters in marketing, public policy or related field with a concentration on research and/or statistics
  • Capable of working with a wide range of internal sources to establish and perform programming
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple assignments and priorities
  • The ability to independently manage multiple projects with competing priorities, from concept to completion, and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, team orientated environment
  • In-depth understanding of statistical methodologies including regression analysis; and experience with statistical packages
  • Strong leadership and relationship management skills
  • Creative thinker with strong knowledge or ability to rapidly understand business and project objectives
  • Ability to work in and bring structure to ambiguous environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Detail orientated with exceptional organizational skills
  • Customer-driven approach to work quality and quantity; understands how to balance business needs and resources; and make decisions that make good business sense
