Our portfolio includes new construction, renovation and historic preservation projects for college and university and government clients. EYP is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in our Greenville office. This position will have direct client contact and work collaboratively in a cross discipline environment to produce integrated project documents and ensure integrated design approaches and solutions.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for managing the coordination of the production of schematic design, design development, construction documents, layouts of engineering systems, spatial coordination with architecture and other engineering systems, and specifications. Additional responsibilities include contractor submittals, cost estimates, performing feasibility studies, ensuring that project budgets are met, performing site condition surveys, and attending client meetings.
The successful candidate will be able to create innovative approaches, strive to improve technical quality of work, and keep abreast of new technology, changes, and advances in the industry. They will be able to demonstrate an understanding of engineering systems and industry standards as well as demonstrate a record of consistent quality work. This position will provide mentoring and direction to less experienced engineers.
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, 12+ years of experience in design and analysis of mechanical systems, PE, and AutoCAD required. Knowledge of Revit MEP, and experience working on government, commercial, and institutional buildings strongly preferred.
The nature of work to be performed requires that the successful applicant be a US citizen. Occasional travel required.
