Provide logistics sustainment and supportability analysis to Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM), Materiel Systems Directorate for Brigade Combat Team Modernization program. Develop, write, review, comment and staff in accordance with the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process: Initial Capabilities Document (ICD), Capability Development Document (CDD), Capability Production Document (CPD), Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), Analysis of Materiel Approach (AMA), Basis of Issue Plans (BOIP), Logistics Demonstration (Log Demo) Plans and other acquisition program documents for capabilities development related functions. Serves on Integrated Product Teams involved in maturing system supportability strategy, reviewing sustainment doctrinal updates and determining the support impacts of a proposed system. Perform analysis of replenishment & resupply operations, water generation, fuel, transportation, and deployability sustainment requirements and concepts. Develop, define, and refine reliability, availability, and maintainability requirements, develop and integrate sustainment concepts, conduct analysis to determine support impacts to potential requirements changes and conduct sustainment/logistics analysis to insure accurate and sound Life Cycle Logistics. Prepare and present briefings and reports on projects under study. Apply logistics subject matter expertise to support the CASCOM capabilities developer. Review, evaluate and comment on Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Personnel, and Facilities (DOTMLPF) approaches in JCIDS documents.

Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Must be able to create and analyze mathematical functions sufficient to identify cost and revenues for a multi-functional organization. Must be able to travel unaccompanied. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and able to obtain a US Govt Common Access Card.


Must be able to carry out complex military research and analysis projects directed by supervisors. Experience in progressively responsible logistics-related command and staff positions is required. Completion of DAU's Life Cycle Logistics Level 1 is preferred. Bachelor's degree (Master degree is preferred) in an appropriate field and 10 years military experience, preferably Army, with completion of professional military education appropriate to rank attained. Must be a US citizen and able to read, write, speak and understand English. Position requires close customer contact and the ability to work independently and creatively. Must be proficient with MS office software suite. Must be able to conduct thorough research and be proactive in identifying and solving problems. Must be capable of completing required tasks with minimal supervision.
