Companyis seeking a Senior Mobile Design Lead to work with our Product Team. This position will report to the Director of Product Management and be based in our San Francisco office.
Responsibilities Participate in and perform a wide range of product design tasks, from brainstorming, conceptual designs, wireframes, interaction and visual design. Provide direction and support to the other members of the product design team. Become an active member of a cross-functional product development team with product managers, business analysts, engineers and testers. Actively participate in design and requirement sessions with a variety of internal stakeholders. Create sketches, wireframes and mockups to design and prototype interactive applications. Clarify functional requirements, interaction behavior and other design considerations iteratively throughout new product and feature design phases resulting in complete and comprehensive designs. Conduct heuristic evaluations of existing products and propose changes to improve product usability and overall effectiveness. Transform low-fidelity wireframes into beautiful, high-fidelity user experiences across a diverse range of platforms, including: Android Phone and Tablets iOS Phone and Tablets HTML5 Mobile websites WAP2.0 Mobile websites PC based websites (cross channel mobile interactions) Evaluate and recommend changes to analytics and reporting to better understand user behavior. Conduct user testing of new or improved features.
Qualifications and Skills - Functional Experience designing interactive user interface elements on any of the following: Flash, HTML5, iOS, Flex, Laszlo, Air, Other (Mobile preferred but not required) Experience designing animations (flash animations/UI-based, not cartoons) Experience designing icons (2D and 3D) Extensive experience with Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator etc Demonstrated experience with 3D modeling and Rendering software (Alias, Lightwave, etc). A portfolio and/or functioning examples of your work that demonstrate exceptional visual and interaction design skills. Demonstrated experience with iOS Human Factors Guidelines and Android User Interface Guidelines. Expert level skills in Adobe Creative Suite and other associated design tools. Strong design judgment, with the ability to clearly articulate your design rationale. Well-rounded understanding of online and mobile usability best practices Prior experience in conceptual development and creative prototypes as well as tactical UI design and implementation.
Qualifications and Skills - Interpersonal Ability to effectively work within a team, reach design decisions and create effective compromises when required. Ability to multi-task and successfully participate in several projects simultaneously. Learn new technology and platforms quickly. Able to successfully negotiate a range of projects, from vague to well-defined, simple to complex, implementation to innovation. Handle constructive feedback in a positive manner in fast-paced design-build cycles. Thorough passion and understanding of user interface design for mobile applications.
