Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Perform design, documentation, capacity planning, implementation and support of complex network systems
Provides expert level consulting services to both internal and external customers and partners; analyze business requirements and translate into technical architecture for voice, data and video communication technologies
Evaluate new products and assist in the development and documentation of technical standards
Administer IT controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data on the network
Perform detailed application and network troubleshooting utilizing packet capture/decode programs and other utilities
Develops and ensures compliance to all network, disaster recovery and security policies
Accountable for leading and managing large-scale cross discipline technical projects
Fully knowledgeable of cross-platform integration issues and troubleshooting processes from host, network, and application perspectives
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
5+ years work experience in a network infrastructure/network environment and distributed/telephony systems environment. Must have experience working in a large, complex corporate environment
Must possess industry expert level proficiencies in the design and configuration of (1,000 node plus) voice and/or data networking infrastructures (e.g., Routers, Switches, Servers, PBXs, VOIP technologies, telecommunications facilities)
Experience with current networking and application protocols and topologies (see Technologies section)
Large-scale implementation experience with data networking infrastructure
Familiarity with other non-core network applications (DNS, Active Directory, load balancers, proxy servers, IDS/IPS, etc.)
Experienced in developing and implementing systems management tools and processes to support capacity management, alert management and performance management
Must possess expert level proficiencies in voice and data network capacity planning methodologies and protocol analysis
Preferred Professional Certifications:
CCNP (Required)
CCIE (Nice to have)
