The Senior Operations Analyst is responsible for coordinating and leading analytics required for national operations initiatives. Analytics will include (but are not limited to) financial, operational efficiency, statistical, time and motion, and process mapping. The Sr. Operations Analyst will support logistical implementation of processes and products. The Sr. Operations Analyst will participate and lead analytics for operational audits/assessments within the Health Ministries. The Sr. Operations Analyst will coordinate and lead Symphony readiness objectives within the Health Ministries as required. Ensuring the accurate and timely preparation/presentation of reports and data is a key responsibility. In addition, the position will provide appropriate consultative services via written and verbal communications and financial analysis to Resource Group leadership. While this position may have focused responsibilities it will also support any Resource Group activities as necessary.
-Support National Vice President Field Operations and area-specific Operational leadership with financial analysis, reporting, and measuring of data/statistics.
-Develop support tools using advanced Excel and/or Access skills for implementation support and tracking and reporting of performance metrics for facility supply improvement initiatives.
-Lead research initiatives for solution design, develop project plans, and manage process to timely completion of goals.
-Lead process mapping events documenting and improving processes utilizing Visio and subject matter experts
-Coordinate national operational metrics/benchmarks with a focus on customer service, productivity, key performance indicators and adherence to service/operating level agreements
-Participates and leads analytics for operational audits/assessments within the Health Ministries
-Advise National Vice President Field Operations regarding implementation status for selected contracts (compliance) and Health Ministry compliance to operational procedures/policies
-Coordinates national operations community call, with guidance from National Vice President Field Operations, with focus on communication, knowledge transfer and sharing sound practices
-Develop data collection tools and analytical methodology to use for analysis purposes.
-Interpret data concerning financial trends and economic/business forecasts as they relate to the performance metrics and provide recommendations to National Vice President Field Operations.
-Participate and provide data and process analysis to ensure alignment between Symphony, Ministry Service Center and The Resource Group.
-Lead the development of project management plans as well as manage and report on progress.
-Support implementation efforts of various Supply Chain and Decision Team initiatives with regard to analysis, project planning, communication, and tactical assistance.
-Assist with communication between the System Office and Health Ministries.
-Participate in an Analyst-wide “community” spanning Ascension Health and its Health Ministries for the purpose of building networks, assisting on projects, attending community-building and training events, sharing best practices, and providing advice for the betterment of the Analyst community. Particular emphasis should be placed on sharing communications from national operations community calls.
-Mentor and coach Analysts, as appropriate and where applicable.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A Master’s degree is required (or current enrollment in a Master’s degree program) with three to five years applicable experience demonstrating increasing responsibilities preferred. Healthcare experience, supply chain management and/or other similar experience where analytical and critical thinking skills are considered to be transferable is preferred. A Bachelor’s Degree in business related, logistics or finance is also preferred.
The position requires strong analytical skills with the ability to produce results with minimal supervision. Critical thinking and written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Time management and the ability to work on multiple projects at one time are vital. Proficient to expert use of spreadsheet, database, presentation and word processing applications are required. Candidates are also required to pass an Excel assessment and a business case study given during the interview process.
