We are currently looking to add an Oracle DBA to our growing team.
Provide strategic and technical leadership for our client’s Oracle infrastructure and projects. Oversee and/or participate in project planning, database upgrading, and the design of and planning for Oracle based applications. Perform the maintenance, performance tuning, monitoring, backup and disaster recovery support for all Oracle databases.
Duties/Responsibilities Responsible for performance of all Oracle RDBMS systems.
Participate in designing future database solutions to meet the needs of a large scale-organization.
Serve as Oracle technical lead for DBA staff and IT department as a whole.
Maintain 100% uptime of all Oracle databases (excluding scheduled maintenance windows).
System maintenance activities such as archiving, storage utilization, and backups.
Responsible for capacity planning, disaster recovery planning and activities, and system upgrades.
Maintain written documentation on all relevant topics.
Participate in 24x7 on-call support duties.
Work outside of normal business as needed.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience plus current industry related certifications.
Minimum of 5 years Oracle DBA experience in a large scale, production environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Must be self-motivated and able to complete work on time.
Strong troubleshooting skills within and outside database environment.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and work well in a highly collaborative team environment.
Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical people.
Strong familiarity with: UNIX, shell scripting, Oracle backup methodologies, Oracle Grid, Oracle 10g/11g, ASM, SQL, PL/SQL, SQL*Loader, Data Pump, diagnostic tuning packs. Data warehousing experience is a plus.
Experience performance tuning Oracle systems in a large enterprise to identify bottlenecks, resource constraints and other limiting factors that adversely affect performance.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with Oracle RAC
