Senior PMO Analyst - ATL001DX US-GA-Atlanta
Job Summary
                                      The overall purpose of the Senior PMO Analyst role is to provide PMO disciplines to the Service Delivery teams within a given functional team or to a team within the GPMO to ensure a high quality of service to our customers. These disciplines include:
                                      • Governance and Reporting

                                      • RAID Management (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Decisions)

                                      The Senior PMO Analyst has the ability to take ownership and drive the above disciplines with limited direction required and has deep knowledge and skills within project and program lifecycles, and contributes as a Subject Matter Expert in one to two of the PMO disciplines. Each Senior PMO Analyst will support one or more PMO Managers or Program/Project Manager. The Senior PMO Analyst may have responsibility of a small staff to lead and develop in the delivery of the PMO disciplines. The Senior PMO Analyst understands broadly how program / projects links to the firm’s vision.

                                      GPMO responsibilities
                                                      The GPMO Senior PMO Analyst leads and participates in the definition of program/project management methodology, standards, and guidelines. Key responsibilities include:
                                                      • Works closely with the GPMO Lead in managing the activities in support of program/project management ownership, including the support of the governance framework.
                                                      • Manages end-to-end program/project management process performance, including the design and on-going maintenance of its enablers and ensuring appropriate usage and adoption.
                                                      • Identifies areas where additional coaching, guidance and training may be required for the Program/Project management competency/discipline and works with the GPMO Learning team in its development and implementation.
                                                      • Manages key stakeholder relationships relative to program/project management processes—such as, service delivery leadership and methodology team—to obtain alignment on standards and drive a culture of program / project management excellence across all IT Services.
                                                      • Leads GPMO-sponsored projects as assigned by GPMO leadership.

                                                      Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities
                                                      • Monitor program/project Baseline - s to ensure activities are occurring as planned - scope, budget and schedule
                                                      • Proactively identify risks and issues on programs/projects – advising team on the development of risk management and issue management plans
                                                      • Identify potential points of contention for missed deliverables
                                                      • Develop and manage plans to address program/project strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats
                                                      • Ability to balance both the "science" of how to perform program/project management and the "art" of program/project management, which is learned through experience and skill training/application
                                                      • Analysis of program/project data to produce management information and identify and deliver continual improvement

                                                      Supervision responsibilities
                                                      • Reports to the Service Delivery Function IT Program Management Office Leader or GPMO Manager/Leader
                                                      • May supervise one or more PSA/PMO analysts
                                                      • Works as required to improve:
                                                        • Selection and performance management of staff members
                                                        • Evaluate, counsel, mentor and provide feedback on performance
                                                        • Ensure training and development of staff members
                                                        • Support staff members directly or indirectly in their roles
                                                      • Meets regularly with staff to provide direction and serves as an escalation point for issues

                                                      Experience/Skill requirements
                                                      • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
                                                      • 7 to 10 years in a corporate IT environment
                                                      • 5 to 10 years experience in PMO and program/project management on projects up to $5M
                                                      • 3 to 5 years working in projects with geographically dispersed teams
                                                      • Financial management experience and working understanding of BAC, ETC, and EAC
                                                      • Work experience in a professional services industry, preferred
                                                      • Other relevant experience in a related technical field (application development, deployment/implementation and infrastructure)
                                                      Technical skills requirements
                                                      • End to end understanding of IT life cycle (pipeline, resource, demand, project delivery, financial)
                                                      • Experience in end-to-end financial management – plan, forecast, actual – function, portfolio and program/project levels
                                                      • Very good understanding of service delivery related key performance indicators
                                                      • Project delivery experience in a similar IT environment
                                                      • Business Analytic skills

                                                      Additional Skill Requirements

                                                      • Ability to deal efficiently with escalations and difficult situations/people under pressure
                                                      • Outstanding self management , influence management , information presentation and interpersonal, communication
                                                      • English language skills - excellent written and verbal communication
                                                      • Experience working in a global IT environment

                                                      Suggested Technical Certification
                                                      • A relevant program/project management qualification preferred (e.g. Prince Practioner, PMP) would be preferred
                                                      • Familiarity with ITIL v2 or 3 would be advantageous
