Participates in managing client relationship and multi-disciplinary planning teams.
Understands intra company agreements, contracts and deliverables and assures HOK standards for project management are met.
Works on a full range of assignments in the delivery of all project phases.
Develops and writes master plan reports.
Develops planning design solutions as well as solutions to technical and design problems.
Incorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
Displays ability to create design concepts and express them graphically.
Performs benchmarking research on programming, comparable projects and images.
Reads and understands Agreements to Work within budget, schedule, work plan and client constraints.
Assists in preparation of proposals; participates in interviews and public presentations.
May mentor and direct the work of intern staff.
Actively promotes collaborative and innovative culture.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in urban planning or landscape architecture plus 5 to 10 years' experience; or equivalent in appropriate education and experience required.
AICP certification preferred.
LEED AP or GA required within twelve months of employment.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Proficiency in 3D Modeling software such as 3D Studio Max and Viz 2006.
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, GIS, Ecotect, and InDesign graphic software preferred.
Proficiency in BIM, Revit preferred.
Proficiency in NewForma preferred.
Basic knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines.
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work in team environment.
Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
Travel may be required
