Enphase Energy is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer specializing in circuit design to develop state of the art Solar Microinverters. The ideal candidate should be a Power Electronics Engineer wanting to apply his or her engineering skills to develop low cost, high performance circuits for a broad range of applications.
Specifically, candidates need to have an understanding and working experience developing new products, from marketing requirements, through design, manufacturing and support through the product life cycle. Typical duties will include writing engineering requirements, test plans, designing circuits, schematic capture, simulation, developing test plans, and most importantly, validating the design in the lab and in the field. You will interact with cross-functional teams such as; PCB Designers, Mechanical Engineers, Product Verification teams, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Program Management. A strong understanding of the product life cycle is a definite plus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop products from concept, through design, manufacturing and support to end of life
Design, Document, and Validate designs
Work with senior members of the development team
Work with compliance groups to ensure successful completion of certification process
Write Engineering Requirements, Test Plans, Validation Reports
Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering required; Masters or PhD Preferred
5+ years work experience (non-academic) working with power supply design
Solid education and experience in power supply architectures; Flyback, Resonant, ZVS, Synchronous, Bridging, etc.
Solid understanding of the theory and application of magnetics to inductors and transformers to achieve maximum efficiency
Design knowledge with FETs, MOSFETs, SCRs, TRIACs, IGBTs, Bipolar Transistors, TVS, etc.
Solid foundation in PCB layout, component placement and routing
Able to model and simulate complex circuits
Experience merging analog and digital designs
Familiarity with UL-1741, EN61000, IEEE1547
