Job Family Summary

Requirements Engineering is responsible for the Analyzing needs, developing requirements and producing specifications.

Accountabilities

Provide direction and support for the optimal design of complex, large scale systems through consideration of the system as a whole, rather than individual components of the system.
Create and maintain artifacts (models, diagrams, documents) by evaluating needs, clarifying requirements, and analyzing use cases and dependencies to functional specifications to support hardware and software development at system and component level.
Provide various client areas with accurate and consistent requirements information to help them make critical technical decisions based on complete and unambiguous insight into cross-systems functionality.
Develop a thorough knowledge of customer needs and system capabilities
Assists product management in the prioritization of critical customer needs, with the corresponding product and/or system requirements to support the highest achievable customer value.
Assists product management and R&D in the validation and confirmation of product and/or system requirements (Validation could occur through organization of user groups, surveys or 1-on-1 customer meetings as examples
Understands clinician workflow processes in medication dispensing, variations, and what factors influence them.
Identify and measure non-value-added steps within both clinical and operational workflows and decision making.
Comprehend how various technologies interact and impact each other, and identifies how synergies at a system level can drive greater customer value.
Participate with product management (and perhaps others) in usability studies and simulated use validation.

Qualifications

Pharm, D preferred
Mininum of 6 years related work experience required
Ability to lead team toward operational objectives
Aptitude to contribute to strategic goal-setting for department/business unit
Ability to participate in and lead meetings with customers on a regular basis to establish strong working relationships and facilitate information sharing about business and systems requirements
