Responsible for all aspects of tax (both US and foreign) as it relates to WMS international operations.
Essential Job Functions:
Manage relationship with third party service providers for international tax return filing requirements including any estimated foreign tax payments, indirect taxes and withholding tax requirements
Analyze intercompany transactions to set and monitor on an ongoing basis appropriate intercompany transfer prices, management fees, IP royalties, etc.
Analyze income tax accounting impact of intercompany transactions
Understand and advise Senior Director of Tax Planning and Compliance on VAT and customs issues in all major WMS Markets
Support periodic and ongoing foreign tax budgeting, tax forecast and tax analysis efforts for WMS international subsidiaries
Manage/co-ordinate the preparation and filing of all required statutory transfer pricing studies
Manage compliance related issues, tax planning analysis and assist in deploying creative income tax savings solutions for all foreign subsidiaries
Review in-house preparation of Forms 5451, 8858, and any other Form or Statement required on the U.S. Tax Return in relation to non-US subsidiaries and activities
Assist international accounting personnel to complete their responsibilities more effectively through preparation of tax analyses
Assist in all U.S. and foreign tax audit related matters
Develop strategies to reduce international tax burden
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA with MST strongly preferred
At least 7 years of hands-on experience in U.S. international income tax compliance, transfer pricing and income tax accounting with a public accounting firm or corporate environment with international operations
Track record of working effectively with peers throughout the organization
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Excellent analytical, organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills
Strong time-management and multi-tasking skills
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of global personnel
Tax research skills
Working knowledge of IRC and OECD transfer pricing requirements and documentation needs
Demonstrated ability to effectively work with people of other cultures in international offices and earn their respect
Proficiency at Word, Excel, Power Point required, Oracle experience preferred
