Direct the planning and technical development of major software projects to meet performance, schedule, and cost goals for Rosemount’s Pressure Subassembly Software based systems.
Work in partnership with manufacturing engineering, design engineering and production supervision to support Critical Strategies of: Safety before anything else, Keep the floor running, Maximize Quality, and Global Consistency.
Applies technical expertise, commensurate with a recognized expert in the applicable field, in the development of major complex products and/or systems. Invents new techniques or advances the state-of-the-art in complex developments with substantial technical risks. Assure that the technical approach used meets end customer and Rosemount quality requirements.
Prepares detail plans, which may span well over a year, for complex programs or projects. Initiates or recommends broad new development projects. Establishes technical program goals and defines plans and cost/schedule requirements.
Administers technical policies and procedures. Assures accuracy and timeliness of complete software documentation package.
Modernizing test software, automate product testing and data collection/analysis/traceability tools, turn database of data into information.
Extends technical knowledge to introduce new approaches into software design, coding techniques, and product test. Is aware of probably future product requirements and trends regarding new technologies.
Provide leaders
Interacts frequently at a high level with internal customers, vendors, industry peers, and other functional groups.
Provides technical consultation and coaching through the company within areas of expertise.
May supervise engineers and/or technicians.
Recognized as an expert in technical matters by the company.
May represent Rosemount on technical committees.

Job Requirement
Technical Requirements:
Advanced Programming in C#, VB6 (Legacy applications), Transact SQL, Database design concepts.
Developing and managing software development in a Best Practices environment, including use of design patterns and use of object oriented techniques.
Working with Microsoft Windows, all versions. High level of familiarity with databases and database design.
Working with the user community to design and develop new manufacturing software. This includes gathering end user requirements and developing documentation and plans following the CMMI approach.
Leverage manufacturing data into business system requirements and product quality improvements.
Knowledge and experience with large scale business systems a plus.
Knowledge and experience of database administration a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science from an engineering school. An ABET-accredited engineering degree is preferred.
Experience:
Eight (8) years of applicable experience. Masters degree preferred.
