The Senior Principal Technical Architect establishes that technical direction at WMS, providing technology guidance and insights to the corporate CIO and senior IT staff. Serving as a nexus between applications, infrastructure, network engineering, information security, and development. Primary responsibility for all aspects of technology, including the high-level architectural design, construction, reconstruction, and standardization. Required to take a hands-on role leading our technology strategy to drive projects, scalability and performance enhancements, and prototyping. Must be well versed on various technologies and have a zest for learning emerging technologies at all times.
Essential Job Functions:
Shape the end-to-end architecture and design, work with the infrastructure, business solutions and development teams to implement the next generation technology.
Proven ability to quickly and effectively engage in challenging technology programs in a hands-on manner is imperative. Must be ready to deep-dive into technical issues and then resurface to provide clear and informative briefings to the IT management team.
Requires conceptual and practical knowledge of computing emphasizing application development, database management, networks, and operations; experience in budgeting and financial and impact studies a plus.
Guide disaster recovery planning and testing

Bachelors/Masters degree or four-year degree in technology or industry related field of study: Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, MIS, Telecommunications, or other IT disciplines
10 or more years of industry experience working in design, implementation and management of global enterprise system.
Hands-on experience in multiple phases of the systems development lifecycle (SDLC). Extensive experience in enterprise architecture as acquired through hands-on experience in multiple technology departments.
Experience in leadership role developing IT corporate strategies
Broad understanding of IT planning, architecting, engineering, and operations across multiple disciplines.
Substantial hands-on experience in driving/leading efforts in system performance modeling, capacity planning, performance tuning, optimization, re-use and scalability of systems.
An excellent understanding of cloud architecture and the deployment of highly available, scalable, and secure applications within a cloud production environment.
Experience with Oracle EBS, RAC, SSO, Databases (Oracle, SQL Server), Data Warehousing, UNIX, Linux
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Troubleshooting skill and ability to coordinate with all IT staff
Proven record of good judgment in solving problems and handling technical challenges
Ability and desire to work with technical and non-technical people
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Customer service acumen and effective company communications
Self-motivated and willingness to work long hours and off-hours
