Reporting to the Director, Finance, you will provide support to Cameco Resources’ operating sites for all supply chain management and will be responsible for providing an uninterrupted flow of materials, supplies and services, selecting suppliers and vendors and sourcing and ordering materials and services. In addition, you will be responsible for expediting outstanding orders and facilitating resolution of blocked invoices in SAP and will provide support to others in processing purchase requirements incompliance with corporate policy and procedures.

You will also manage all aspects of the procurement management of projects, to ensure effective work execution and efficient contract administration. You will drive development and implementation of master agreements with contractors and assist the contracts manager with development and monitoring KPI’s to drive contractors’ performance improvements. You will also develop key processes describing most effective and efficient ways of managing procurement and contracts, and continuously pursue opportunities for improvement. You will ensure that all procurement activities are carried out according to Cameco Resources’ standards and procedures.

Education and Qualifications

Requirements of the position:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, legal, commerce or supply chain management
  • Strong proficiency with SAP
  • Ten to 15 years of overall related work experience in contracting and procurement, with at least five years of hands-on experience with corporate contracts
  • Strong communication, negotiation, planning and leadership skills
