Supplier Development Senior Procurement Specialist (Manufacturing facing)
Lead, coach, train and facilitate cost, quality and lead time improvement projects
Build and strengthen global supplier relationships
Perform supplier reviews/audits identifying key suppliers for new sourcing opportunities
Manage request for quotes for selected sourcing commodities
Responsible for setting up new suppliers in SAP and assigning to appropriate commodity buyer
Create supplier improvement plans and goals, and implement changes that result in favorable supplier performance
Coordinate with global team for quality and delivery issues
Drive continuous improvement activities to implement best practices, establish standard work and eliminate variation and waste to improve performance
Responsible for maintaining matrix for reporting supplier external capability and capacity as required.
Monitor and administer/track the ASL process including updates and statuses as needed.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
BS in Supply Chain, Technical, Engineering (or related)
5+ years experience in commodity/supply chain/procurement leadership with increasing levels of responsibility
Experience with Manufacturing primary and secondary processes
Individual must be able to deploy a practical and effective Supplier Development Program
Utilize strong Sourcing and Quality Systems background.
Proficient verbal, written, and organizational skills, excellent Microsoft Office skills
Ability to work with fellow employees and be a key influencer over functional group
Ability to multi-task & stay focused in a fast paced environment
SAP experience preferred
Contract Management experience
Project Management skills, with good initiative and problem solving skills
Lean experience a plus
