Design, develop and test amplifier reference designs offering competitive system level solutions for customers and drive design-in activities. Design application specific evaluation boards and software user interface to verify feasibility of new product design. Collaborate with marketing engineers to understand customers’ technical requirements and define system solutions. Improve amplifier model methodology and simulation tool to generate better macromodels. Contribute to multi-disciplined technical team and perform data analysis of product characterization results to set final product specifications. Write data sheets, articles and application notes for new product releases. Provide technical assistance to design-in decision makers. Includes domestic and international travel comprising 10% of work schedule.


Master of Science (or foreign educational equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical discipline such as Electronics Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering, and two years of experience in the semiconductor industry, which must have involved: defining amplifiers, voltage references or application specific products and providing post release technical support; developing and evaluating prototype analog circuit and demo boards to test key features of new product; developing equipment control and data acquisition programs with software development tools in languages, such as Labview or equivalent; simulating and evaluating application circuits using SPICE or Multisim; evaluating integrated circuit (IC) performance using the following lab equipment: oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, audio precision meters, multimeters and function generators; providing customer technical support and resolving customer issues through bench verification, evaluating application, product operation and limitations issues, utilizing failure analysis techniques and debug processes; and, developing technical documents which included at least two of the following: data sheets, application notes, technical articles and presentations related to analog/mixed signal ICs. Travel (including domestic and international) comprising 10% of work schedule is required.

For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
