OBJECTIVE:
The Senior Product Manager’s objective is to assist the Director to develop and execute the brand business plan. Continues to assess current trends and brand performance to make necessary adjustments to strategies or tactics to achieve financial goals. Ensures organizational alignment of activities to brand strategy and objectives. Also, communicates brand strategy as it aligns to company goals to gain support with cross-functional partners within the organization. Additionally, this person will develop and execute long and short-term marketing goals and corresponding marketing plans to ensure profit, growth and expansion of the brand.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Plan, identify, develop and produce promotional materials, programs, and activities needed to support brand strategies in order to meet financial goals and expectations.

Identify and manage outside agencies and consultants to meet expected project objectives and hold them accountable to agreed upon standards; provide oversight of critical agency relationships.

Develop project and tactic assessments and valuations (ROI) that leverage analytics and research to identify successes and areas for improvement to optimize spend.

Participate in the Marketing component of Medical, Legal, and Regulatory approval process of all promotional initiative to achieve brand objectives.

Evaluate changes in the market and customer landscape to determine business impact and develop appropriate tactics and plans in response (industry, competitor activity, legislation, regulations, etc.)

With the Brand Director, play a substantial role in the development of the annual brand business and budget plan, strategy & objectives, Rx forecasts and manage multi-million dollar budget to achieve net sales and operating margin goals.

Interface and collaborate with multiple internal partners across the organization including Sales, M&SA, Regulatory, Legal, and TGRD. Ensure cross-functional alignment of activities to brand strategy and objectives.

Mentor others on the brand team and across the department and the organization. Provide guidance and coaching to brand team members on the design and implementation of promotional tactics, projects and work priorities.

Partners with BIS Colleagues and Brand Director to collaborate on annual market research plans and activities.

Serve as a back-up for Brand Leadership (i.e. senior management presentations, Financial Plan/LBE process, etc.)

Collaborate with other brand teams to drive identification of efficiency and process improvements, along with cross-brand portfolio opportunities.

Responsible for assisting in Brand Lifecycle Management and Publication strategies.
Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Bachelors Degree

At least years 7 experience with increasing responsibilities in sales, marketing or related function

Healthcare related experience

Desired:
MBA

Experience in marketing positions at a commercial pharmaceutical organization.

Skills:
Industry/therapeutic knowledge – understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and varying therapeutic areas.

Strategic Thinking – possesses a vision for the brand, builds a plan and executes to achieve

Analytical – ability to use logic and analysis to solve ambiguous/complex business problems

Business Acumen – ability to make sound business decisions by having a strong understanding about business, finance and risks/benefits of decisions

Leadership – ability to inspire and empower others to be at their best and deals with corrective actions in a manner that inspires accountability

Executive Communication – ability to clearly and succinctly communicate (verbally/written) at the executive level

Experience in marketing positions at a commercial pharmaceutical organization.
