Sr. Product Manager
You will be responsible for the business of the Press Ganey quality reporting products, providing market vision and solution requirements. The products include solutions for Core Measures, Meaningful Use eMeasures, Value-Based Purchasing (VBP), and other payor reimbursement programs. To do this, you will work directly at the executive level with customers and non-customers, our field organization, product analysts, and the technology team. Focused on delivering value to our markets, you will ensure we pursue the right problems and identify the best solutions for the company, looking holistically at the products and the business.
•Understand the market by gathering and analyzing market insights, including win loss analysis, to proactively identify business opportunities, threats, and challenges, and drive recommendations for strategic planning and product development.
•Prioritize problems by obtaining funding for product ideas that solve market problems through the creation of business cases. Manage the product roadmap, considering the needs of the business and of the company, not just the needs of the existing customers or one specific product line.
•Design holistic solutions: what the product offering will be, the services around it, dependencies on other components, and pricing/packaging strategy. Document feature overviews, and work with Product Analysts on process flow and UI flow.
•Optimize product deliverables by prioritizing ruthlessly for the benefit of the overall business. Work with the Technology team, and make tradeoffs between features, design approaches, and fit for our market segments.
•Manage the business by analyzing product performance holistically. Partner with internal field organizations to work with customers.
•Assist marketing with input for positioning, value proposition creation, and marketing and launch plans.
•Assist Product Analysts with defining features, and validating workflow and usability.
•Assist field teams (sales and advisory services) with support and customer presentations.
•Own user groups and customer feedback sessions.
•Triage enhancements to the current versions.
Experience and Skills
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a numerate or healthcare field
•At least 5 years’ experience creating/managing quality metrics or regulated payment program solutions
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Extensive experience soliciting user and industry feedback; interviewing customers and non-customers, leading focus groups for product design/development, speaking at industry events
•Skilled at business case development, analytics and reporting, market trends/analysis, competition analysis, customer discovery, unique positioning, business modeling, new product introduction process, product roadmap development, product lifecycle management
•Skilled at working with customer/client management, and managing the tension between customers’ wants and needs; designing for the many not the individual
