We are looking for a Senior Product Verification Engineer to join our team. In this role you will be a key member of a QA test team of the next generation software test application to deliver key usability and performance improvements over the existing product suite.
In this role, the Senior PV Engineer will work as part of a dynamic team located in Calabasas, CA, responsible for architecting the test strategy and infrastructure requirements for the Platform Software components of Spirent’s Test Center product. The position will require hands-on product test, interaction with a diverse and geographically dispersed engineering team, and the ability to translate business requirements into projects. The successful candidate is expected to design, automate, and test a broad set of features in FPGAs, firmware, software infrastructure, and perform tasks with limited management guidance and some technical supervision.
Knowledge of IP switching / routing, MPLS, Datacenter Bridging, Ethernet and Network topologies is desired.
Responsible to create test strategies, plans and test cases for FPGAs, firmware, and software infrastructure testing.
Responsible to maintain and enhance regression and automation.
Experience testing network control plane protocols such as IGMP, DCBX, OSPF, and BGP preferred.
Experience with Virtualization technologies such as VMWare, Xen, or QEMU-KVM.
Experience working with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins/Hudson.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills are necessary as is the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Able to configure Cisco, Juniper and/or Alcatel-Lucent routers. CCNA/CCNP preferred.
Able to investigate and recommend technical solutions.
Minimum of one year of development experience C#, C++, Python, TCL/TK or Perl.
Education and Experience:
BSCS/EE minimum with at least five years of software testing experience in the telecommunications and/or application development industry. MSCS/EE preferred.
