The YMCA of Greater Miami - South Dade Family Center is looking for a dynamic Senior Program Director. This individual will develop, and oversee all facets of the following programs: Sports, day camps, kids adventure zone/child watch, family & teen programming, and special events. In this role, there will also be a heavy emphasis on volunteer development. This includes developing and monitoring the annual budgets of these programs and departments. In 2013, this position will also oversee all facets relating to the opening and operations of an 8,000 square foot Aquatics center.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities required:
Bachelor's degree in recreation or equivalent area preferred.
Three to five years management experience with proven abilities in budget development, monitoring and control.
Minimum of three years of experience with summer camps, youth sports & program administration.
Proven ability in program development, marketing and promotion.
Knowledge of Aquatics operations desirable.
Proven skills as a high functioning, multi-tasker
Demonstrated ability and initiative in developing harmonious relationships with staff, members, volunteers and community leaders.
Current state approved First Aid / CPR certified.
Bilingual, English and Spanish, a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must have transportation in order to travel within County.

Salary: $35,072 - $52,608
