Summary of Job Content:
SUMMARY OF JOB CONTENT
Assists in providing program management direction for composite structures programs to the individual program teams.

Dimensions:
-Staff Service – One large or multiple small companies.

-Complexity Complexity of Knowledge – Experienced Project/Program/Proposal Management, primary interface with customers, monitor cost reduction programs, prepare and maintain detailed program milestone schedules.
Product Diversity – Experience in multi-discipline products in composite structures and metals

-Area of Responsibility Scope – Product team leader and responsible business entity for the product line

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITES
1. Assists in developing comprehensive technical/cost proposals to meet customer requirements.
2. Prepare and maintain detailed program milestone schedules including tooling design and fabrication, work order instruction generation, material procurement and hardware fabrication.
3. Works with Engineering/Quality/Manufacturing team to meet customer technical and schedule requirements and to achieve sales and profit goals.
4. Provide input to the monthly sales and annual business plans.
5. Present program status to customer and internal management.
6. Approve payments to major suppliers.
7. Coordinate review of contractual documents and maintain configuration baseline.
8. Interface with customer(s).
9. Perform functions including: review of purchase orders; generate correspondence to customer; maintain files; issue Sales Order Supplements to provide internal direction; input and maintain contractual requirements in order entry module of MRP .
10. Initiate, and manage contract change review internally and develop and submit proposals for contract changes or follow-on business.
11. Assists in developing staffing plans and makes recommendations for adjustments thereto.
12. Member of proposal team to support negotiations of new and follow on contracts.
13. Provide input for Material Manager regarding supplier selection.
14. Advise management regarding resource issues that may affect other programs.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business or Engineering. Must have at least 7 years experience in program management in a manufacturing environment.
2. Knowledge of MS Office, MRP and/or MRP systems knowledge required.
