Job Duties:
" Simultaneously executes multiple facilities projects across SPHP, meeting program objectives within the constraints of timeframe and budget.
" Serves as facilitator at all phases of the project, identifying key issues, developing options, recommending solutions and leading the project team to a successful conclusion.
" Acts as custodian of SPHP resources by closely managing project budgets to insure that the monies spent are necessary and sufficient to meet the program need.
" Confers with Finance to track project financials. Prepares purchase requisitions and recommends the acceptance of change orders and the payment of project invoices.
" Keeps project timelines current and regularly communicates project status to all stakeholders.
" Confers with entity boards, physicians, committees, senior management and project consultants on projects as required.
" Coordinates contract reviews and negotiations with oversight of appropriate counsel and reviews with senior management.
" Coordinates with public, regulatory agencies, and presents projects to such agencies as required.
" Manages project schedules using tools (Gantt, Pert Charts) that illustrate progress against major project milestones.
" Conducts regular project team meetings as necessary. Attends senior management meetings to provide updates on project status.
" Reports to Director, Facilities Planning, Design and Construction; manages other project management staff as needed.
" Communicates and builds rapport with projects team members of many, multiple departments and at all levels within the organization.
" Facilitative in coordinating with other departments and facilities representatives being impacted by the project.
" Liaison to outside regulatory organizations and municipalities.
Minimum Requirements:
" Bachelor's degree in an engineering filed or equivalent degree. Master's degree preferred.
" 10 years' experience in a construction project management. Healthcare experience preferred.
" Knowledge of state and local standards and codes, and requirements of regulatory and accreditation agencies, related to construction.
" Versed in project management techniques, program development and computer-aided project management tools.
