TexelTek is seeking a Senior Program Manager to oversee and coordinate the operational aspects of ongoing projects. The Senior Program Manager will serve as a liaison between project management and planning, project-team, and line management. The Senior Program Manager will assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
A Senior PM is expected to take an active leadership role on the team and within the operations of the business. They participate by aggressively leading teams, collaborating closely with corporate leadership, and communicating effectively with multiple clients. They are expected to continuously improve corporate policies and procedures for program management and typically manage other PMs and APMs in a supervisory capacity and serve as an advocate for career development.
A Senior PMs responsibilities include resource management, client expectation management, delegation of tasks to other PM staff, and cross-company/interdepartmental activities. They will help lead program management and planning, the project-team, and line management. This person will contribute in assessing project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. They are expected to continuously educate themselves on financial, regulatory, contractual, and technical requirements for their team or project, assisted by APMs and led by Senior PMs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Senior PMs are responsible for the following tasks, as well as any others assigned by departmental and corporate leadership:
Develops and implements mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving.
Runs complex projects/programs from design and development to production.
Manages subcontractor relationships, deliverables, client expectations, and overall communication within teams.
Plan and schedule project deliverables, goals, and milestones.
Build and develop client relationships.
Define requirements and plan project lifecycle deployment.
Define and schedule resources for project/program implementation.
Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
Define requirements for project risk.
Identify and mitigate project issues and risks.
Design and maintain technical and project documentation.
Develop Requests for Proposals (RFP) for external services.
Provide input to overall corporate strategy and direction.
Serves as a trusted advisor both internally and externally with a strong ability to work in large, complex, fast-paced teams and environments.
Ability to motivate staff and lead high-performing teams.
Establish credibility through knowledge, expertise, and trust.
Experience as both a subcontractor and a prime.
Other duties as assigned
Current TS/SCI clearance w/ FS Poly.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Technology or related field.
Minimum 5-9 years of project management support experience.
Minimum 3+ years experience coordinating and/supporting business processes.
Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.
PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent preferred.
