Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities: The Senior Program Relation Consultant is responsible for day to day oversight of the Program Relation team including onboarding and training. Additionally, actively works within an assigned region to act as the key liaison between Group Voluntary and Work Site, Client Companies and Retail Sales Force and has a significant role in developing the program vision and focus, annual business plans, implementation, development of Institutional and Individual Business training, as well as development of back-office processes. This position is also accountable for maintaining existing book of business in addition to the timely and accurate installation of new business.

Principal Responsibilities:
Direct day to day activities of the Program Relation team and coordinate with the Processing team to drive program results.

Coach and develop team, as well as develop and communicate unit strategy and goals. Collaborate to maintain consistent processes across all regions.

Drive bottom-line results within a specific geographic region, including case review, implementation, service, problem resolution, and reporting results to clients and business partners.

Establish ongoing relationship and trust with Group, Retail and Client company business partners, including daily oversight of the program, consultative support and facilitation of communication between all parties.

Lead implementation of services to timely successful installation by thorough analysis of plan design, collaboration with other MetLife associates to prioritize multi-product implementation, make recommendations to the client for program design, secure agreement for the method and time table of delivery of services, creation and recommendation of client specific program design and communication of the processes to all parties.

Analyze reports to pro-actively maintain installed book of business and retain expected lead flow. In addition, support non-installed cases to drive issues to resolution and identify opportunities to expand service offerings.

Serve as SME (subject matter expert) and liaison to other business partners throughout MetLife, within both Group and Retail organizations.

Responsible for educating and training back up along with creating and maintaining updated documentation as well as providing on-going process improvements

Job Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:
7+ years or related work experience

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Desired:
Bachelor’s degree or related work experience

Outstanding relationship building and coaching skills

Work autonomously to manage and effectively prioritize multiple tasks

Ability to adapt to change and quickly reprioritize focus

Ability to drive bottom-line results in a fast-paced environment

Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills; strategic and innovative thinker

Understanding of employee benefit plans and of individual and institutional products and Services including financial planning and advanced market concepts

Familiarity with MetLife systems and sales processes
